They take me to the Gallows Pole, [1]
The sands of time for me are running low...
When the priest comes to read me the last rites,
I take a look through the bars at the last sights,
Of a world that has gone very wrong for me.

So off to the quacks at 5pm this arvo to find out if I have hep A&|B&|C, HIV or what.  But I will get to find out my blood group, at least.

Current state:
Mildly hungover.
Full of toast and Marmite
Pondering dirty KFC for luncheon

Currently pissed off with:
The council.
Things at home.
Visual Studio 2005.
Stupid sales droids incapable of distinguising a Mb from  Gb.
Summer (or lack thereof).
Ubuntu Loonix
OSCommerce
PHP
The government (quelle surprise!)
Most cyclists on the way in this morning

There, that's me.

How are you?

[1] Actually it's Bermondsey Medical Mission, but I don't think that's so easy to sing.

I'll sum that up for you... by Breaker (4.00 / 1) #2 Thu Jul 24, 2008 at 07:36:16 AM EST
Cheesiness, monstrous guitar solo, more cheesiness.

I have it sussed what I don't like about Dragonforce - the keyboards, and the endless jumping with legs tucked up.  plsfixkthx!

Sounds like I'll like it then :) by TPD (4.00 / 1) #6 Thu Jul 24, 2008 at 08:12:55 AM EST
Actually I'm slightly cautious about the new album. Valley of the Damned is a truely great album and surprisingly varied.... but since then they do seem to becoming more and more parodies of themselves.

But I find Nandos is much better than KFC for your chicken fix.

Nando's rocks by nebbish (4.00 / 1) #16 Thu Jul 24, 2008 at 09:27:03 AM EST
That's proper food though, esp with two corns for side orders. Slathered in extra hot sauce of course.

They know a thing about hot sauce, Nando's.  Quite keen on their coleslaw for a side, myself.

Yeah by jump the ladder (4.00 / 1) #30 Thu Jul 24, 2008 at 10:36:45 AM EST
I pretend I'm eating healthily with a Nando's hot chicken burger, coselaw and corn in the cob.

Aside from the coleslaw by Breaker (2.00 / 0) #32 Thu Jul 24, 2008 at 11:02:27 AM EST
And if there's no butter on the corn, that's probably quite good for you.

Well by Breaker (4.00 / 2) #8 Thu Jul 24, 2008 at 08:38:49 AM EST
I asked my magic coin of decision if I should have KFC or teriyaki beef noodle soup from Eat.

Sadly it came out for the soup.  Rated as C-, the ginger beef noodle soup is far, far superior to this new pretender.

Hep C? Are you serious? by greyrat (4.00 / 1) #4 Thu Jul 24, 2008 at 08:02:36 AM EST
Hep C took more than a decade to kill my mom. At the end, it wasn't very pretty.

Current State:
Surprisingly un-hungover.
Full of scrambled eggiewegs and sausage (not very good sausage, sadly) and wheat toast, and I'm sipping my brisk refreshing programming language.
Pondering sex for lunch (possible, but unlikely).

Currently pissed off with:
AmerenUE, the local electric utility.
Syncsort and File-aid.
CablesToGo and their poor manufacturing/ QC.
The government (quelle surprise!)

I am so worn out that this morning it took me three attempts to get out of bed. I then dropped both my toothbrush and toothpaste on the ground, one after the other.

However, I don't think I am actually pissed off about anything.

I'm pissed off more that I don't understand PHP; I don't know enough about it to offer a truly informed hatred of it.

I like the *. - as the day goes on I think it more prudent to operate on a things that are not currently pissing me off list - much shorter.

How am I? by Herring (4.00 / 1) #34 Thu Jul 24, 2008 at 01:19:17 PM EST
Well I was nauseous, feverish and stressed this morning but then at about 8:15 the cavalry arrived at the office so I was able to dump the turd on them and then go home and sleep.

The way the LCC sickness policy works, it's done on occurences. I have shot myself in the gouty foot before by going back too early then having a relapse so it counts as 2 periods of absence. Not going to risk that tomorrow - when I have a holiday next week.

So, to summarise: slightly nauseous, less feverish and demob happy.

Marmite is one of the Good Things on the no eating list. You bastard.
