So I just finished watching NASA TV (on the web, from the main nasa.gov homepage) during the launch of the Space Shuttle Endeavour. Looks flawless so far. I always worry about these things, having been close enough to the shuttle program (working instruments launched or operated from 3 shuttle missions) to catch about 2/3 of the jargon.

In other space news, toxicfur and I did the dinner and a movie thing last night. We saw Sunshine, which is a pretty cool space disaster flick. If you don't expect them to get stuff like orbital dynamics and stellar interiors and gravity right, at least. In some ways it reminds me of Event Horizon which I caught on TV years ago. And of course it pays a certain amount of homage to 2001. Anyway, fun.

Otherwise... I should be writing bad fiction myself, both for the WFC6 (due this weekend) and for another project. It's hard to write when I'm sweating.

And now it's raining on the barbecue. Which won't hurt the cooking much; only annoy the cook. Usually we check the weather radar first. :-/
