My hands finally stopped smelling of gasoline later that night.

On one level I accept that to live in our world you have to be part Renaissance Man in order to get anything done. But it, by no means, make me entirely satisfied to have to be such.

The previous comment on society was partially spurred by finding episodes of Connections and The Day the Universe Changed out on the GooTube.
I admit to no small fascination to his coupling of events in the world. It would be nice to have it on video one of these days.

The rest of the weekend was busy with friends and family.
A birthday party on Saturday night was fun to hang out and get the gaming geek on. The game was Monsters Menace America! and the one drawback I can say about it, is that it needs more. It has six possible monsters to play, but is only geared towards a max of four players. This seems off. I mean, if you have six possible players, why not include everything for those six players? Why cut it back to only four? You can only have more fun with more monsters!
There was also a celebration and going away party for my cousin who has joined the coast guard. She graduated from her boot-camp last week and got some leave time to come home and prepare what she could to get ready for her first assignment. The family got her a brand new laptop to take with her. Actually, it was going to be hers whether or not she made it. It was more for her getting out of her home town and actually trying to do something with her life. She has to go back to Virgina soon to ship out on her first assignment.
It is different seeing someone else go through making the same sort of choices I had to make not so long ago. Hopefully they will end up being the right ones.
